For National Poetry Month author and poet David Waltner-Toews visits KPL to discuss his new collection of poetry, New and Selected Poems..

In conversation with Professor Emerita Hildi Froese Tiessen, English & Peace and Conflict Studies, University of Waterloo.

David Waltner-Toews was born in Manitoba in 1948 and now makes his home in Waterloo, Ontario. A veterinary epidemiologist and Officer of the Order of Canada, Dr. Waltner-Toews has published more than twenty books of poetry, fiction, and science. His poetry titles include The Gravity of Love, The Complete Tante Tina, The Fat Lady Struck Dumb, The Impossible Uprooting, Endangered Species, Good Housekeeping, and The Earth is One Body. Other Waltner-Toews books are The Origin of Feces; Eat the Beetles! An Exploration into Our Conflicted Relationship with Insects; On Pandemics; and the memoir A Conspiracy of Chickens.
